Program Officer, Tuna Conservation
Nicole Beetle is a Program Officer of Tuna Conservation on the WWF-US Oceans Team, facilitating FIPs that work with large-scale purse seine vessels. These FIPs require engaging with and monitoring the activities of tuna Regional Fisheries Management Organizations (RFMOs). She also works with colleagues in South Korea and Japan to build market interest in sustainable tuna and engage national purse seine fleets in FIPs or MSC assessments. Nicole is a master’s candidate in Environmental Science and Policy at George Mason University and received her B.A. in International Affairs and Environmental Studies from Northeastern University.
