Senior Program Officer, Ocean Markets
Amy Breckon is Senior Program Officer, Ocean Markets. In this capacity, Amy is responsible for managing hospitality partnerships with WWF-US corporate partners, helping them establish and achieve their ocean sustainability goals and commitments. Amy is also responsible for building private sector support and engagement for nature positive coastal development opportunities and nature-based solutions for oceans, especially for mangroves and blue forests.
Amy got her start in conservation on the waters of coastal Maine, piloting aluminum skiffs to monitor the management of coastal islands for the Maine Island Trail Association. After working as Senior Development Officer at the environmental economics research institution, Resources for the Future, Amy had the opportunity to manage the Conservation Alliance for Seafood Solutions. She spent nearly eight years in varying leadership roles at the Conservation Alliance. During that time, she enjoyed learning from colleagues within the coalition about the breadth and depth of seafood sustainability issues, facilitating committees and cross organization collaborative projects, and supporting relationship-building for collaborative impact. Amy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Analysis and Policy from Boston University.
