Shashank Singh
Manager, Blue Finance
Shashank Singh is the Manager for Blue Finance (Blended Financial Models) on the WWF-US team, leading WWF’s engagement on design and implementation of innovative financial instruments that direct capital towards sustainable blue economy.
Shashank’s background is at the intersection of sustainability and finance in public and private sectors. In his last role, he worked as a climate finance specialist with McKinsey & Company supporting organizations to design and implement strategies on environmental risks and opportunities. He also worked as a consultant with the World Bank’s Financial Stability team advising financial regulators and supervisors on environmental risks. Shashank has previously been a part of the sustainable finance community at WWF contributing to the engagements with financial institutions on climate change and biodiversity loss. He started his career at Citigroup working with the bank’s institutional clients on risk management.
Shashank obtained a Master’s in Public Administration (MPA) from Harvard Kennedy School, an MBA from Indian Institute of Management (IIM) and a Bachelors in Electronics Engineering from National Institute of Technology (NIT) (India). He is based in Washington DC where he lives with his wife and daughter.
